I spent some time last summer creating some posters for my math classes.
While there are plenty of posters ready for purchase at the teacher's store, I
never found ones that quite fit my exact needs. I like to spend time
during the school year explicitly teaching and giving kids practice with solving
problems using different methods. After they have solved a problem, I like
them to share and have conversations with one another about their methods
(notice I didn't say about the answer - NOT the most important part in my
classroom!) So to fit those needs, I created a "Seven Super Solving
Strategies" poster and a "Conversation Starter" poster that have exactly what I
need ready to begin a new school year. Maybe they would be useful in your
classroom!
